Today, we had the Youth Experience Simulation with the Youth Advisory Board. It was an experience for businesses to feel how the youth have trouble getting things they need, such as medicine, food at the Food Pantry, and other essentials. As a Youth Board Member, I acted as the resource specialist for the organization NAFI. A little nervous, I learned how to assist those who had never had this experience, as well as those who had to navigate the Simulation. This said, one of the main messages we as a group agreed upon was, "remember we are all human and as such, dignity, respect, and the sense to 'read the room' is needed for all involved for safety and support for all involved.
After the experience ended, we went to the car to leave, but we couldn't find it. I asked my mom's phone to find the car, and we walked the directions it told us to go, but we still couldn't find it. So I looked at the pictures that I took before we went inside, and I noticed that the background had the sign P3 on it, and we knew that the parking garage we were in wasn't the garage where the car was parked.
So we figured out that we had to go to the other parking garage because we still couldn't hear the horn, so we went to the other parking garage and went up to floor 3. And then we saw the A-NOD logo on our car, and we finally found our car.
So if you need to find your car, buy one of our A-NOD decals that goes on your car window, and the next time you need to find your car, you can find it using the sticker.
