Meet the Founder

Hello! I’m Diane Thacker. My husband, Larry Sr., and I have been married for 32 years and have four sons who each face unique situational health concerns.

I work from home as a social worker and volunteer for MindSpring Mental Health Alliance. I am also the Founder and Board President of A-NOD For Situational Awareness LLC and A-NOD Inc, established in 2020 and 2023.

At A-NOD, our directors, members, and volunteers draw from their lived experiences to understand the challenges faced by family, loved ones, First Responders, and their communities regarding behavioral, mental, and sensory health issues, particularly during stress-filled moments and crises.

As such, A-NOD's mission is to raise awareness and provide resources while collaborating with other organizations and aims to strengthen communication, promote de-escalation techniques, and ensure the safety and well-being of individuals from initial contact to all outcomes.

A-NOD's Philosophy

In our fast-paced and often overwhelming world of voices, including AI, it’s easy to miss the signs and "true voice" that remind us of what truly matters. At A-NOD For Situational Awareness, LLC and A-NOD INC, we understand the importance of making decisions that consider the needs of our families and customers, especially those with special health concerns. We deeply believe that everyone deserves to feel welcomed, acknowledged, accepted, respected, valued with dignity, seen, and heard regarding their personhood, particularly during challenging moments such as accidents, home issues, and traffic stops.

As such, our team is also committed to embracing empathy and understanding in every interaction. We strive to reflect these values not only in our business but also within our communities. As such, we hope that stronger, safer, and more supportive relations will grow, heralded by the Scripture from Matthew 5: 16, "let your light shine so that man can give glory to God".

This, which fundamentally transforms how we choose to connect, interact with, and ensure that everyone is treated with the care and consideration they deserve in every situation.
