Diane Thacker A-NOD founder

Meet the Founder

Hello! My name is Diane Thacker. My husband, Larry Sr., and I have been married for 32 years. We have four sons, four of whom uniquely deal with and live with special health concerns.

As such, I am also a stay-at-home work-at-home social worker. I volunteer for MindSpring Mental Health Alliance, serve as a family speaker within other organizations, and am the Founder of our family business and organization, A-NOD For Situational Awareness LLC, and A-NOD INC.

At A-NOD For Situational Awareness, LLC, and A-NOD Inc., my board directors and members have lived experiences that enlighten their understanding of the immense challenges that First Responders, their loved ones, and communities encounter when faced with loved ones who deal with and live with behavioral, mental, and sensory health issues.

As such, it is A-NOD's mission to bring awareness, advocacy, and aid resources regarding our program and other organizations that empathically choose to collabrate with each so to strengthen the bonds of communcaton needed as well as strengthen the regard tht foster connections with the broader communities, create relationships regarding the importance of de-escalation techniques, and the awareness of those safety and support measures that support the safety and well-being of every individual, from the very first contact to an outcome that ensures mindful decisions and supportive environment for all.

A-NOD's Philosophy

In our fast-paced and often overwhelming world of voices, including AI, it’s easy to miss the signs and "true voice" that remind us of what truly matters. At A-NOD For Situational Awareness, LLC and A-NOD INC, we understand the importance of making decisions that consider the needs of our families and customers, especially those with special health concerns. We deeply believe that everyone deserves to feel welcomed, acknowledged, accepted, respected, valued with dignity, seen, and heard regarding their personhood, particularly during challenging moments such as accidents, home issues, and traffic stops.

As such, our team is also committed to embracing empathy and understanding in every interaction. We strive to reflect these values not only in our business but also within our communities. As such, we hope that stronger, safer, and more supportive relations will grow, heralded by the Scripture from Matthew 5: 16, "let your light shine so that man can give glory to God".

This, which fundamentally transforms how we choose to connect, interact with, and ensure that everyone is treated with the care and consideration they deserve in every situation.
